Mit eIDAS 2.0 und dem Architecture Reference Framework (ARF) entsteht in Europa eine neue Infrastrukturschicht für digitale Identität — regulatorisch dicht, technisch komplex, politisch sensibel. Auf Bundesebene wird ein System entwickelt, das Bürger:innen sichere Kontrolle über ihre digitalen Nachweise gibt. Parallel dazu eine B2B-Infrastruktur, über die Behörden, Unternehmen und Dienste als Issuers und Relying Parties ins Ökosystem eingebunden werden.

Das Mandat umfasste zwei parallel laufende Produkte unter einem gemeinsamen regulatorischen Dach:
Wallet DE App (B2C)
Strategische und architektonische Beratung für die staatliche Identitäts-Wallet — vom Credential-Konzept (Selective Disclosure, Batch Issuance, Unlinkability) über Trust-Architektur und Informationsarchitektur bis zum Conversational Behaviour für KI-gestützte Interaktionen.
Kernfrage: Wie wird aus dichter Regulierung und kryptografischer Architektur ein Produkt, das Sicherheit erfahrbar macht, ohne sie behaupten zu müssen?
EUDI Hub / Ecosystem Management Portal (B2B)
Konzeptionelle Grundlagen für die Infrastruktur des Ökosystems — Service-Architektur, Transparency Hub, Credential-Katalog, Stakeholder-Kommunikation.
Kernfrage: Wie wird das Ökosystem für Relying Parties und Issuers navigierbar und für die Öffentlichkeit transparent?

Senior-Beratung für MEIRÉ am Programm von BMDS, SPRIND und BSI — an der Schnittstelle von Regulierung, Technologie und Produktstrategie. Dazu zählten Governance- und Architekturentscheidungen sowie strategische Kommunikation auf Programmebene — von Auftraggeber-Stakeholdern bis zur zivilgesellschaftlichen Öffentlichkeit.

Context
With eIDAS 2.0 and the Architecture Reference Framework (ARF), Europe is building a new infrastructure layer for digital identity — regulatorily dense, technically complex, politically sensitive. At the federal level, a system is being developed that gives citizens secure control over their digital credentials. In parallel, a B2B infrastructure that brings authorities, companies, and services into the ecosystem as Issuers and Relying Parties.
Project
The mandate covered two products running in parallel under a shared regulatory roof:
Wallet DE App (B2C)
Strategic and architectural advisory for the national identity wallet — from credential concept (Selective Disclosure, Batch Issuance, Unlinkability) through trust architecture and information architecture to Conversational Behaviour for AI-supported interactions.
Core question: How do you turn dense regulation and cryptographic architecture into a product that makes security tangible without having to claim it?
EUDI Hub / Ecosystem Management Portal (B2B)
Conceptual foundations for the ecosystem’s infrastructure — service architecture, Transparency Hub, credential catalogue, stakeholder communication.
Core question: How is the ecosystem made navigable for Relying Parties and Issuers, and transparent for the public?
Role
Senior advisory for MEIRÉ on the programme commissioned by BMDS, SPRIND, and BSI — at the intersection of regulation, technology, and product strategy. This included governance and architecture decisions as well as strategic communication at programme level — from commissioning stakeholders to civil society.
